Welcome to The Quartermaster's Store & Quirky Café, a delightful art café located at 11 Concession St S, Tamworth, ON K0K 3G0, Canada. This charming establishment is not just a café but a community hub where creativity and comfort intersect, inviting locals and travelers alike to indulge in a culinary journey filled with delightful flavors and an eclectic atmosphere.

As you step inside, you are greeted by an inviting aroma that mingles with the scent of freshly brewed coffee, drawing you into a world that feels both warm and uniquely artistic. The walls are adorned with vintage gadgets and local artworks, creating an ambiance that is as quirky as the café’s name suggests. Whether you're seated indoors amid the captivating decor or outside in the dog-friendly seating area, the café exudes a relaxed vibe perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a peaceful moment alone.

The star of the show, of course, is the menu—an array of mouthwatering options that range from indulgent baked goods to savory delights. Customers rave about the scrumptious gingerbread cookies, which Jo'Ann Alderson describes as "yum," alongside the date squares that are proclaimed to be "to die for." For those with a zest for citrus, the lemon squares are an absolute must-try. The rich flavors of the wild boar and blueberry burger and the flaky spinach feta turnover cater to those craving something hearty, while the lightness of the grilled cheese sandwiches ensures satisfaction without heaviness. It’s no wonder customers like Melanie Dwyer delight in sampling an array of offerings, from tantalizing butter tarts to decadent blueberry cheesecakes.

Many patrons, like Christine McGovern, appreciate the dog-friendly nature of the café, which sets it apart as a welcoming spot for all family members, four-legged or not. With homemade treats available for dogs, it's truly a place where no one gets left behind. The warm service and outstanding food foster a sense of community that keeps guests returning, sometimes even multiple times in a single trip—as mentioned by Monika Zawilska in her glowing review.

Whether you are in the mood for a leisurely brunch, a light lunch, or simply a place to enjoy a rich cup of coffee, The Quartermaster's Store & Quirky Café is a hidden gem that promises a flavorful experience. With each bite and every sip, you’ll find yourself enveloped in a world of delightful tastes and artistic charm, making it a must-visit on your journey through Tamworth.

LJ finesses coffee, gingerbread cookies (yum), date squares (to die for), lemon squares (a must try), soup (hot with a kick); scones, grilled cheese to your liking. I've tried them all!

Great baked goods that we’re trying but by bit. So far the blueberry pie, peach as well as blueberry cheesecakes, butter tarts and peanut butter oat chocolate chip cookies are all VERY good. On the savoury side, the wild boar and blueberry burger, and the spinach feta turnover are sooooo good. And no, I didn’t eat this all in one sitting

Good food, nice light lunches, if a little pricey. Outdoor dog friendly seating. Nice spot to stop while motorcycling Edit: This review was for the bakery previously at this address, I presume most of the reviews are for a business that no longer exists. I have not been to the Quartermaster's Store

Delicious grilled cheese sandwiches in an eclectic-vibe little dog friendly cafe. Lots of vintage gadgets and items to look at when waiting for your food. Great smell inside as the owner also sells locally made soaps. Stopped on the way into Tamworth and on the way out a couple of days later for a second round :) Highly recommend Holy Smokes and The Orangeman sandwiches!

This was our lunch stop. We ordered the Ruben and Turkey Club sandwiches to take out. The club was the best I every had, the croissant was buttery and flaky, the vegetables crunchy and juicy with the perfect amount of mayonnaise. The Ruben was great, toasted to perfection, packed with flavour and very filling. The final touch was the gherkin was the cherry on the sunday. Now we also have all those other savoury pastries that we haven't touch yet, can't wait to do so for lunch tomorrow.

Warm and inviting atmosphere. Sadie loves her house-made pumpkin treat. It’s hard to find dog-friendly places so we were thrilled to stop in at this gem. Food is outstanding and the staff are wonderful. We will definitely be back.
